Second Chance

Lisa Pearson here, Kassie Pearson's mother....I wanted to send ya some pix of Bronson and Gabby Lucille (Jane) who are doing wonderful. Thanks again for allowing us to adopt them...they are so much apart of our family now and we couldn't imagine life without them.

Bronson was neutered about 3 weeks ago, or there about, and while he was in the Vet's office I had them X-ray his rear leg...I don't know if you remember one leg being shorter than the other....but the X-rays show that its not in the hip, his hip looks great....its in the femur bone. The Vet thinks that around 6 months of age the femur bone was broken and being left untreated, it traumatized the bone causing it to stop growing. The bone did fuse itself back together, and is very strong, it just stopped growing. We like to call that sweet leg, Bronson's puppy leg. He does use it more now and is building up some much needed muscle around it.

Gabby Lucille is doing great. She is such a sweetheart, she and Bronson get along so well together. Can ya tell I love them?

Take care, and I appreciate you for the work you do, helping the animals.
Lisa

As a community, we all have a responsibility to do all that we can to help these unfortunate animals. We need volunteers to help walk, bathe, and/or provide temporary homes for the many animals of the shelter. Volunteers are also needed to assist with mail outs, newsletters, and adoption drives. Become a Guardian Angel to help save one more life.

The shelter is always in need of the following:

Purina or Pedigree Dog/Puppy Food
Purina Cat/Kitten Food
Blankets/Towels
Bleach
Hand Sanitizer
Joy Dishwashing Liquid
Laundry Detergent
Leashes
Copy Paper

Please make the Columbus-Lowndes Humane Society your charity for 2008.
 Help us, help them.
