Pets in Foster Care

Smitty: M, mix adult dog. Smitty has a sad story. He was kicked in the face when he was a puppy and that resulted in the crooked look of this face. When you look at him he just seems a little different. He came into the shelter underweight, shy, and with a healing broken jaw. He is a very sweet dog that has been in foster care for about 8 months now. He gets along with other dogs, children, and just about anything. With new dogs at first, he sometimes likes to act a littler bigger then what he is, but he soon backs off. It is time to find him a forever home, so can you give him a chance of having a loving family of his own????

The Columbus-Lowndes Humane Society would like to thank the Mississippi State Pre-Vet Club for sponsoring a supply drive and adoption day at Southern Family Market in Starkville. The club collected more than 6 grocery carts full of supplies, which they distributed between our shelter and Oktibbeha County Humane Society. They also donated money to our dental machine fund.
